We have seen blood on the streets where laughter used to live.
We have buried dreams that could have built this nation.
And for what? For power that never lasts, and anger that only destroys.

It is this growing wave of violence that moved Dr. Sanga Moses to compose this powerful song “Twagala Mirembe” — a heartfelt cry for peace, love, and unity during elections. In this song, Dr. Sanga reminds Ugandans that politics should never cost lives. He sings for the mothers who lost their sons, for the youth misled into chaos, and for every innocent soul caught in the fire of hate.

Twagala Mirembe means We Want Peace.
The song calls on every Ugandan, whether in the ruling party or opposition, whether rich or poor, young or old, to put humanity before politics.

It says:

“No election is worth a single drop of blood.
We may wear different colors, but we share one flag.
We may speak different languages, but our hearts beat for the same Uganda.”

A Call to Leaders and the People

To every politician, candidate, and supporter: please, choose peace.
Do not let your desire for power blind you to the value of human life.
Do not divide people by tribe, religion, or party.
Do not send young people to fight battles that serve no one.

True leadership is not about how many people cheer your name.
It is about how many lives you protect.
It is about whether Uganda is safer because you led.
