Rob Burkinshaw has been on our radar for a while. We have watched over the past few years as he and his car have moved through various series with an uncanny winning streak.
Rob has been fine tuning his DC5 with the help of TDi North for many years now and the results speak for themselves. A quick peak at his trophy cabinet will tell you just how good this combination of car and driver is.
Rob started doing track days in a Civic Type R (EP3) and that is arguably where it all started and after 5 successful years out on track in his Civic he decided to move onto a DC5 Type R.
It only took a few more track days in the DC5 to realise his and the cars potential so he began his journey into UK Club Motorsport.
The Honda community in the UK is large but the number of people that actually race them is quite small. So if you race a Honda in the UK you will most likely have heard about Rob and his DC5.
The full car spec will follow but in brief it has just about every component replaced or upgraded to race specification.
Highlights include a TDi North built 2.2 stroked K20 with Titan individual throttle bodies (ITB's) & Toda cams.
Remapped using Hondata to an undisclosed figure ;)
Nitron full race suspension
Tarox Brakes and an ever developing aero package
