Sound of a Collatz sequence

The Collatz conjecture concerns a mathematical sequence defined as follows: start with any positive number n. Then each term is obtained from the previous term as follows:
•If n is even, divide it by two.
•If n is odd, triple it and add one.

The conjecture is that no matter what value of n, the sequence will always reach 1 (this demonstration is an unsolved problem in mathematics).

I wrote a little program which converts any sequence into an audible frequency.

What you are listening to is chaotic but not random because it is deterministic and it can be described in mathematical terms.
