My visit to the Museum of Transport, Greater Manchester in Cheetham Hill on Monday 8th May 2023 for their 'Coronation Running Day' which was part of a weekend of national celebrations for the Coronation of King Charles III which had taken place the previous Saturday.
As part of this event heritage bus rides were available using vehicles that had been around at the time of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in June 1953. Here I am onboard a 'Crossley DD42' from the museum to Shudehill bus station in Manchester city centre. This particular bus was built in 1951 for Stockport Corporation Transport and was number 321.
