Delicious warm, comforting and packed with Caribbean flavor-this Dominican Pastelon de Papas is a must-try recipe! Think of it as the Dominican version of shepherd's pie; creamy mashed potatoes layered with a savory ground beef filling, seasoned with classic Dominican spices, bell peppers, onion, and more delicious ingredients that you would love.
Ingredients.
3 pounds of ground beef
3 pounds of Potatoes Boiled and mashed with 3 onces of milk
To marinate the ground beef you need:
2 table tbsp of lemon pepper
1 tbsp of oregano
1 tsp pf white pepper
1 tbsp of paprika
2 tbsp of garlic powder
2 0nzes of orange bitter
1 tbsp of salt for potatoes while boiling
To put the ground beef together and make the sauce
1 tbsp of butter
1 large plum tomato
60 grams of red onion
50 grams of celery shop very small
1 allium of green onion
2 tbsp of cilantro shop very small
2 chicken cubes powder
160 grams of carrots cut very small
100 grams of sweet peppers color of your preference cut very small
1 pound of corn .
Cheese as much as you would like it is your choice .
I uses 3 pounds of the fiesta cheese. For this dish
