I frequently come across bear sign while chundering through the Ozark forest. Mostly finding bear tracks or scat (poop) along the clear water creeks and lake coves. But on this day, I had a run in with a Ozark Black Bear outside of my RV on the morning of a planned kayak fishing trip. So when I came across bear sign again... I said "Nope" and left the area. If your planning on camping, kayaking, or canoeing the Ozark creeks, rivers, or lakes, just know there are black bears around... and quite a few from what I've seen over the years.
