Chanpan Live in the Medium Sized Backyard

Chanpan are a trio based in Chinatown, NYC making quirky, poignant, and thought-provoking alt-pop songs. Made up of twins Lance and Matthew Tran and lead singer Grace Dumdaw, the group wowed us in the Medium Sized Backyard (or living room, in this case, thanks to the rainy weather). Ranging from jazzy percussion and keys to spiky indie rock and chanted choruses, their 5-song set flies by.

Chanpan performed 2025 singles “luigi’s mansione” (“I wonder what this song is about,” says Grace with a wink) and “lost & confused,” alongside their first release from 2023, “jungle.” They also debuted "endlessly," the title track from their upcoming EP, out June 25. This trio are rising fast—catch them live as soon as you can.
