Filming of the last night of service at Broad Street Station on 27 June 86. There wasn't too much of the place left by then as they had already started on the redevelopement of the site. The North London Line service had been diverted to North Woolwich in May 1985 and just the peak hour Watford DC line service remained. This video shows some of the last trains to use the station, 313 EMU's in blue & grey livery, using the temporary platform built at the north end of the site. Amazingly semaphore signalling remained until the end as did Broad Street No 2 box, some shots of the inside are included as are general views of what was left of the goods yard area. This was filmed direct onto an E180 video tape and there are odd ripples due to the effects of time on the magnetic tape (all my vids are now on DVD and MP4 so should be ok!). If you liked the video please subscribe to my channel, there are lots more transport & quirky vids to upload!
