From new pieces introduced in the current exhibition to his approach to dots, you can see the whole process of his works being made.

"The gaps between the dots, these little gray spaces matter to me. It means a lot because it doesn’t mean anything.
It might sound bizarre, but I think these gray gaps are interconnected with ‘yeobaek’ (blank space), which in Korean painting is often seen as a clichéd feature.
The emptiness of ink-and-wash paintings, landscape paintings, and literati paintings that you can easily imagine when you hear that, is quite different from my empty dots. But both are blank spaces, empty spaces, and most of all, they are parts of the painting but also they also strongly evoke the exterior of the painting, non-painting at the same time."
