N35-ST Sprint Race Daytona Tamworth Thursday championship.

A full length race of myself at Daytona Tamworth, I have never been to Daytona Tamworth before and I have heard nothing but good thing about the track and it's karts.

Went down on the Thursday to do a Dmax series but it was full so ended on the N35 race instead. For my first time I don't think 16th out 27 was too bad. I could of been 14th had I not been stupid and gone for the outside line rather then the inside line at the end of the race at 38:38.

But bar that not knowing the track nor knowing how the karts handle it was good.

I found it difficult to turn for the hair pin near the top end as you may see I kept locking the steering wheel but the back end would just not turn. I'm assuming its me trying to flick the kart around like I would at indoor events but it can also be me not trying to ease on the throttle to turn the kart.

I also felt like the kart was a bit slow in a straight line but it was probably just me being unable to get on the throttle early enough like the others could whilst in the video. I was good going around the long right hander at the bottom end of the track shown by gaining so much on people in front of me there. But both inexperience and a lack of talent made it so I couldn't keep up with them. Again another thing for me to work on for next time.

Hope to improve next time and have a go on the Dmax sprint race perhaps.
