0:00 Cyclonemon
Aegiomon's debut. He fights as Elecmon for most of the fight, transforming when the battle has pretty much been finalised. As Data in his Rookie form, his contributions are minimal indeed, but things change when he's in his Champion form, and fully controllable (and partially customisable). If Aegiomon isn't very good at attacking, he can run support for his allies, though his personality is always stuck at Tolerant, which is neither a good personality for stats or abilities. It would be nice to be able to change his personality skill to Great Embrace, so that he would offer stellar support for magical allies (and I guess everyone in general, since there's no reason to not want more maximum HP).
This time around, I use Planning Ahead on Lopmon to debuff the boss's defenses before switching out to a better attacker. He's about equally susceptible to physical and magical damage.
02:08 2x Vademon
Part of the mandatory introduction to Outer Dungeons. We face both of them together, and you'd think their high spirit would render all incoming magical damage impotent. Physical attacks do end up incurring a bit more harm, but the de facto difference between spirit and defence here seems to be different from a Vademon a player would use (perhaps it isn't and the formula for damage just doesn't use the defensive stats enough). Starting the battle with a Burst attack weakens them to the point where you'll be quite close to KOing each.
The interesting bit is where one or both of them could apply Reverse on themselves, turning the type triangle upside down. Switching in Data types to focus attacks on the reversed Vademon is the obvious strategy to employ, and, should both of them be under Reverse status, Aegiomon is best casting Character Reversal on himself, too, so as to keep up.
04:13 Greymon (Blue)
The first big bad, introducing enemy charging phases, where inflicting enough damage to the additional target (Burst Cross Art is great here) leads to the boss losing his turn. In this case, I can target the main body and still defeat the boss faster than he's even done charging. Tentomon with Combo Magic is the clear MVP here, resisting earth but most importantly doublecasting his magic 100% of the time when overcast by a Great Embrace Kurisarimon. Minervamon providing extra chip damage helps a lot, too.
