Dogs can cope remarkably well on 3 legs. However, when Rivers remaining hip started causing him pain from Hip Dysplasia and Arthritis, his owner came to me for help to keep him moving.
In this video I’m going to talk you through the important parts of a dogs body to consider if they loose a leg. We go over the important muscle groups to focus your attention on from a pain relieving point of view. In future videos, we will cover active exercises for tripod dogs to keep them strong and comfortable.
As with every case I see, my goal is to decrease pain and maximise quality of life.
