Thumping Up the Lavender Line

Welcome to my latest video everyone.
This was recorded on Sunday 17th March 2019 at the Lavender Line in East Sussex and shows the class 205 unit 1118 in operation that day. We were kindly given permission to access the cab by the driver (who also happens to own this unit) so you can see the view ahead as well as the driver operating the train. You can also hear the distinctive sound of the engine these units have, both on tick-over and under fairly strong acceleration. There was a break in the middle of the day, during which the unit was shut down and everyone went to the canteen for a really good lunch. We managed to capture the restart of the engine after the break. Various other interior and exterior shots are also included.
The Lavender Line’s Wickam Railbus, though not in passenger service that day, was also shunting around the site. I will include shots of this in another video soon.
