After the sparks (literally) went flying from the dining room Christmas Tree last week, it’s time to redecorate the dining room to host Christmas Dinner.
After our fiasco with the previous strands of lights, I add a fresh set of Christmas lights to the tree and rehung the ornaments. I picked up a festive tartan tablecloth and a cute table table runner to make the space more festive. Adding a table cloth is something that is out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to try something different. Throughout this process, I had to try a lot of different ways to orient objects and rework them until I found a combination I was pleased with. I also found a spool of red satin ribbon I had purchased last year, and I learned how to make a big bow for the top of the tree.
