After clocking nearly 1,150 kilometers on my KTM 390 Adventure 2025 S Variant, I headed to the nearest KTM service center for its first scheduled servicing.

KTM makes the service booking process simple and user-friendly—you can schedule your service appointment through the KTM India app, selecting your preferred service center and available time slot. Once booked, you just need to show up at the chosen location for your bike’s maintenance.
In this video, I’ve shared the cost details of the first service for the KTM 390 Adventure.

What Does the First Service Include?
The first service is typically performed at around 1,000 kilometers (or 600 miles) and focuses on essential checks and maintenance tasks to ensure the bike continues to perform optimally. Here's what it generally involves:
• Oil and Oil Filter Change: This is the core part of the first service. Fresh engine oil ensures proper lubrication and temperature control, while the new oil filter helps remove any debris or metal particles from the engine.
• Chain Inspection and Adjustment: The drive chain is checked for tension, lubrication, and wear. Proper chain maintenance is crucial for smooth performance and long-term durability.
• Tire Pressure Check: Technicians verify and adjust the tire pressure as needed to maintain handling stability and safety.
• Brake System Check: Both front and rear brakes are inspected for pad wear, fluid levels, and performance to ensure reliable stopping power.
• Cooling System Inspection: Coolant levels and radiator function are checked to prevent overheating and maintain engine health.
• Electrical System Check: Key electrical components like lights, indicators, and the battery are tested for proper functionality.

Service Intervals Going Forward
After the first service, KTM generally recommends regular servicing at intervals of every 5,000 to 7,000 kilometers, depending on riding habits and environmental conditions
