In this three-part series we touch on understanding the proper way to select Residential HVAC equipment. Most building departments all over the US, except only the AHRI form as to the equipment's ability to provide the capacity needed. Of course, when 90% of the industry is oversizing equipment based on 400-500 Sq Ft per ton we start to understand why mold is so predominant in humid climates and why the room furthest away from the Heating or cooling system is always the hottest or coldest. In Part 1 of our equipment selection series, we start to understand the WHY behind sizing.
