The Lappa Valley Railway: Railway 200 Grand Summer Gala - 2025

Small but mighty impressive.
A short trip to the Lappa Valley Railway. The theme of the gala was Railway 200, and it featured the best Lappa Valley had to offer. Running on the day was Zebedee, Muffin, Ellie, City of Derby, City of Truro and Authur. Additionally, there were two 7.25’ steam locomotives running, Kilgarrah and Tazmin, as well as various traction engines. There were double headers, triple headers, nonstop runs and a great train race! The Lappa Valley runs along the track bed of the old Newquay to Chacewater line. It is a fantastic railway, and an excellent day out; a must visit. I’m going to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the Lappa Valley for accommodating my visit.
