The recently restored Queensland Railways Beyer Garratt 4-8-2 + 2-8-4 No. 1009 is shown both in mainline railfan service and "on shed" preparations.
Several day trips from Brisbane are covered to such places as Laidley in the Little Liverpool Ranges, Grandchester and Ipswich. Also featured is the BB18 ¼ light pacific double heading with Beyer Garratt 1009 and alone as train engine. Some exciting "on train" action shots, including an extensive cab ride sequence together with several stunning tracking shots make this a memorable video.
The QR "Crimson Giant" at its very finest.
