タワーズミライトは、1993年オープンしたばかりの横浜ランドマークタワーが建物のオフィス部分の明かりをすべて点灯したことがきっかけとなりスタート。1997年からは周辺のビルも協力して全館点灯を行うようになりました。
従来のイベントが目的としていた街のにぎわいも重要な一方で、環境問題や電力不足などをふまえ2022年度からライト“UP”にあわせてライト“DOWN”も開催しています。

Towers Mirai Light started in 1993 when the newly opened Yokohama Landmark Tower switched on all the lights in the office part of the building. Since 1997, surrounding buildings have cooperated and started to light up all the buildings.
While the lively atmosphere of the city, which was the purpose of the traditional event, is important, in light of environmental issues and power shortages, a Lights "DOWN" will also be held in conjunction with the Lights "UP" from 2022.

＜横浜スパークリングトワイライト＞
5分程度の短時間花火を通年・週末を中心に横浜港周辺で打上げられます。
打上げ日数は30日程度で首都圏最大規模の打上げ日数となります。
打上げることで来街者の滞在時間を延ばし、経済活性化が目的のようです。
＜Yokohama Sparkling Twilight＞
Fireworks lasting about 5 minutes are launched around Yokohama Port throughout the year, mainly on weekends.
The number of days for launching fireworks is about 30 days, making it the largest number of days for launching fireworks in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
The aim of launching fireworks is to extend the length of time visitors stay in the city, thereby revitalizing the economy.
