Vierne's 24 Pièces en style libre - one written in each major and each minor key - are designed for organ or harmonium. The "Lied" (in A flat major) has an attractive lyrical melody in the left hand beneath a simple accompaniment. In this recording, the Solo 8' and 4' flutes are used, coupled through to the Swell.
