You can be forgiven for thinking that having cacti and succulents outside all year round is the preserve of gardens found around the Mediterranean and central America. However, for those gardeners coping with the wet, freezing winters of the UK and northern Europe in general, there are a small group of cacti and succulents that will survive outside all year round so long as several condition are met.
