This DIY friendship bracelet tutorial demonstrates a method of making thick zig zag stripes. Although the pattern looks a bit like mini diamonds in the centre, the stripe pattern would be more obvious if the bracelet was made with more colours/threads for each colour.
This bracelet may be suitable for people who are fairly new to making friendship bracelets. However, for absolute beginners I recommend practising the basic knots of friendship bracelet making before attempting this pattern to avoid frustration/disappointment.
