These people were transporting a large amount of cocaine from California to Chicago (2,000 miles). The woman was driving the drugs while the guy followed behind as the trail vehicle to make sure they got where they were supposed to go. The further east and north you get the product, the more valuable it is.
Both admitted they were headed to Chicago, yet the male claimed to not know the girl. (they weren't anywhere close to Chicago) Both were in rental vehicles.
I feel kinda bad for the woman, she has a family and clearly doesn't really know what she is doing. To me, the guy seems like he knows what he is doing and they set this up so that if anyone had to take the fall it would be the woman.
They were booked with trafficking charges and conspiracy charges as well.
