Art Class on Peaks Island Maine! Sketching outside + journal spread in my traveler's notebook

Had an absolutely incredible day thanks to the Illustration Institute and Claire Loon Baldwin! I attended Claire's class on Peaks Island off the coast of Portland, Maine, called Island Ecology in Color. We sketched! Touched seaweed! All in all it was a blast.

So much more thanks/ credit that I didn’t mention in the video: this class was free, which was amazing, AND the illustration institute even provided free transportation to/ from the ferry. Peaks Island is an island haha, but it has its own community and while walking is doable, the ride was definitely appreciated! Co-founders Scott Nash and Nancy Gibson-Nash are both so so welcoming and kind.
