How to install an RID/FID yourself, when your bike didn't came with one? It's not that hard! In this video I’ll lead you through step by step on how to install an RID using my '97 BMW R1100 GS, a second hand RID and a dashboard from a crashed bike. The Rider Information Display is very useful for checking which gear you're driving in, how much fuel is left in the tank, what the engine temperature is and what time it is.
The BMW RID/FID is equipped with a:
• Fuel indicator
• Engine temperature indicator
