I wanted to test my motorcycle battery with the Micro Pro 200 battery tester using the GB battery standard. This is the only testing standard option on this tester that allows you input an amp hour rating. This option allows you to set the ah from 3 to 220Ah. My battery is just 14Ah so I will set it to that.
After testing, it displays the measured CCA, voltage and internal resistance. It also displays an amperage that your battery is rated at according to the amp hour you entered. Probably based off of a table built into the firmware. The tester is probably using a percentage of the measured CCA for comparison and tells you if the battery is good or bad.
If I do the test again and enter a different value for the Ah, you will see that the measured values are the same as before, but the amperage based on the higher value I entered and the tester's internal table is now showing that the battery is bad
I believe GB stands for Guo Biao which is the National Standard (People's Republic of China).
