What was Satan's REAL "plan of salvation"?

In this episode, David highlights an interpretation of Satan’s “plan of salvation” that sometimes doesn’t get as much attention as it deserves. Which of the two interpretations presented in this video make the most sense to you?

Notes:

— President J. Reuben Clark taught in the October 1949 general conference: “As I read the scriptures, Satan’s plan required one of two things: Either the compulsion of the mind, the spirit, the intelligence of man, or else saving men in sin.”

— Please note that Lucifer’s threat to end agency was not the only reason for which he was cast out of heaven. Ultimately, he was attempting to overthrow God, take his power, and place himself on the proverbial throne. That’s a big no-no.

— We’re taught that Satan wanted to dethrone and replace God the Father. How would he have accomplished this? Initially it might seem that Lucifer formally asked for that result as a “reward” of sorts for his all-saving plan [“...surely I will do it; wherefore give me thine honor.”] But, I wonder if Satan was trying to be a bit more sneaky than that. In this episode, I quote from 2 Nephi 2. Here’s a bit more of that same verse I quoted from:

“And if ye shall say there is no law, ye shall also say there is no sin. If ye shall say there is no sin, ye shall also say there is no righteousness. And if there be no righteousness there be no happiness. And if there be no righteousness nor happiness there be no punishment nor misery. And if these things are not there is no God.”

And here’s Alma 42:

“And if there was no law given, if men sinned what could justice do, or mercy either, for they would have no claim upon the creature? But there is a law given, and a punishment affixed, and a repentance granted; which repentance, mercy claimeth; otherwise, justice claimeth the creature and executeth the law, and the law inflicteth the punishment; if not so, the works of justice would be destroyed, and God would cease to be God.”

If Satan’s impossible plan were to be implemented, God would have “ceased to be God.” Perhaps this was really at the heart of Satan’s plan. Perhaps he hoped not only to topple the rule of law on earth, but also in heaven. Or perhaps he was pressuring the Father into abdicating the throne for the sake of saving every last one of his children. Perhaps he felt that since this was the Father’s plan, it should be the Father who suffers in order for his children to be saved. Just some thoughts to consider.
