Today we are launching a project called Pamoja Tusome, a project aimed at promoting Braille literacy and social inclusion for visually impaired children through the use of Lego Braille Bricks.

Play is a part of children as they grow up. Very critical in children development.

Through the application of Lego Braille Brick, we will be able to enhance learning through play.

The approach will be introducing fun-based exercises that learners can interact, and thereby increase their learning experience.

The project will be targeting learners from Pre-Primary all the way to Grade Three.

The Lego Braille project is a project that will run for three years.

We are targeting to reach 17 counties.

We will be reaching over 18,000 learners, of which of around 1,600 children will be children with visual impairment.

This initiative of Pamoja Tusome is in partnership with Ministry of Education, Kenya Institute of Special Education, the Lego Foundation and also with UNICEF.
