Deeply rooted in communities, the fashion and textile sector holds significant cultural and economic value, providing livelihoods and reinforcing local identities, while also presenting environmental and social challenges across its entire lifecycle. 2025 marks the launch of the EU obligation to establish separate collection systems for textiles, which, while trying to advance circularity, brought new challenges both for citizens and all the entities involved in the collection.
This webinar, orgnaised on 14 May 2025, is at the crossroad of two webinar series, following a cooperation between the CISUTAC project and ACR+'s Circular Lifestyles thematic area. It presented key findings on textile waste collection, highlighted practical case studies, and discussed the impact of citizen behaviour on waste prevention.
This webinar is a must-attend for policymakers, waste management authorities, businesses, NGOs, and sustainability advocates looking to enhance their circular fashion/textile waste strategies.
