When you hear the word, “drought,” you’re probably thinking of cracked, dry soil. You’re right, but a drought isn’t just an unnaturally hot season.

The textbook definition of a drought is a prolonged period of water supply shortage. This includes water from streams and lakes as well as water underneath the ground. This also, of course, includes our own town’s water supplies.
