To save the tribe, Jack performs an intimate "Anchoring Ritual" with their leader, Butua. After successfully defending the Hive from ancient mechanical "Cullers," Jack chooses to stay. He permanently bonds with Butua through the "Eternal Tether," becoming a protector and bridge between their species.
