“What’s the Hook?” is a seafood pitch competition led by Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant that is designed to generate innovative ideas that support Georgia’s working waterfronts and seafood products. The effort will help offset some of the impacts of COVID-19 on the state’s local seafood industry.'
On Jan. 6 2022, invited applicants presented a 5-minute pitch to be evaluated by a committee on the following criteria: economic development, innovation, support of the coastal Georgia identity, resilience, transferability, partnership development, applicant expertise, and the presentation and clarity of ideas.
