The joys of selling short. As I keep digging into my lists, Its impressive to see that I still remember some games that I did buy.. and left behind soon after, never playing until later. Selective memory I guess? This side scroller shoot'em up is by Claeysbrothers and Crazy Monkey Studios with a Ps4 port being released with Steam as well on April 30th 2015.

Guns Gore & Cannoli takes place during the 1920's prohibition era, The so called, Great experiment of banning booze sales has backfired to the rise of gang warfare. We take control of Vinnie, a gangster tasked with finding someone for the mob but it turns out, Thugtown, USA is in the midst of a zombie outbreak. Time to paint the town red.

A love letter to shoot'em ups, Guns Gore and Cannoli is about as over the top and comical as you'd expect: Vinnie starts with a pistol and we get other weapons such as the Tommy gun, shotgun, and revolver and yes, explosives. The art style reminds me of comic books and the sound effects are loud and bold, various zombie types and vinnie's colorful one liners make this game which also offers 4 player co-op a real treat!
