Maloney was the winner of the 2025 First Citizens King of the Hill on Sunday, producing a blistering final run in his Skoda Fabia Rally2 to seal the win ahead of a 121-strong field.
He topped three of the four runs, clocking the fastest time of the day, 2 minutes 35.92 seconds, on his last attempt.
Maloney started strong, leading the first run in 2:39.20. Kyle Gregg and Rob Swann followed close behind, while Jeffrey Panton briefly shook things up with the fastest second-run time of 2:41.11, still slower than Maloney’s opener.
The third run saw the leaderboard reshuffle. Gregg stormed into the lead with a 2:37.43, with Dane Skeete just behind at 2:37.74. Maloney, pushed down to fourth, needed something special in the final run, and delivered.
