Explore Bharmour Chamba – The Land of Lord Shiva. Why is Bharmour famous? How to reach Bharmour? What is the history of Bharmour 84 Temple? Best places to visit in Bharmour – This travel vlog covers all these and beyond including my dangerous yet breathtaking road trip to Bharmour, also known as Shiv Bhumi, a land blessed with ancient temples, scenic beauty, and mystical stories. These places truly define the soul of Devbhoomi Himachal making it one of the best places to visit for travelers seeking a divine, offbeat Himalayan experience.
Wondering where is Bharmour, the land of Lord Shiva, located? This sacred town lies deep in the Pir Panjal Dhauladhar Himalayan ranges, some 65 kms from Chamba town and is known for its rich cultural and mythological heritage. We take the Chamba to Bharmour road (NH 154A), navigating through one of the most dangerous Himachal roads, surrounded by panoramic views of the Ravi River and pine-covered valleys. Whether you're looking to know Chamba to Bharmour distance, or planning how to reach Bharmour Chaurasi Temple, this vlog gives you a complete road trip to Bharmour experience with important travel tips, and routes and moreover will give you a first-hand feel of the thrilling terrain and how to plan your trip effectively. Also, the road from Chamba to Bharmour has got the sacred Pratham Kailash Darshan view point and leads to the official Manimahesh Yatra start point at Hadsar from where the famous Manimahesh Kailash yatra trek starts. The route covered via Unha village, Bakani village, Bagga bridge, Chamera dam 2, Khadamukh.
After reaching Bharmour first we go to the sacred Bharmani Mata Temple, also known as Bharmani Mandir or Bharmani Mata Mandir, a must-visit shrine surrounded by pine trees (Himalayan cedar trees) and peaceful vibes within the Himalayan mountain ranges. The Bharmour to Bharmani Mata Temple route is short but steep, filled with beauty and calm. Our journey continues to the revered Bharmani Mata Temple which is a 4 km uphill route that can be accessed by trek or steep road from Bharmour town. This temple is also referred to as the holy point of the Manimahesh Yatra as tourists or devotees come here to take a dip in the Bharmani mata temple sacred kund, filled with water coming down from Gauri kund of Manimahesh Kailash.
After that we explore Bharmour Temple heritage - the iconic 84 temple complex, also known as the Chaurasi Temple or 84 mandir Bharmour (which includes Chaurasi Mahadev temple, Lakhnadevi Temple, Manimahesh Temple and many more) which answers the question like what is the history of Bharmour 84 Temple? A visit to this Chaurasi temple complex is like stepping into the pages of ancient Himalayan history - a cluster of ancient shrines said to be over 1200 years old. Wondering Why is Bharmour famous? It’s because of its unmatched spiritual energy. Don’t miss the unique Yamraj Temple Bharmour, also known as Yamraj Ka Mandir or Dharmaraj Mahadev Temple, a rare temple dedicated to the God of Death.
