The updated Colonoscopy Clinical Care Standard was launched on 21 September 2025 at the World Congress of Gastroenterology at Australian Gastroenterology Week (WCOG@AGW25) conference held in Melbourne.
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care released the Standard alongside the Atlas Focus Report: Colonoscopy which examines trend data in rates of colonoscopy and repeat colonoscopy.
See the expert panel discuss the impact of the Standard, the ongoing disparity in access, and the challenges in communication and information across the health system.
Hosted by Professor Denise O’Connor, NHMRC Investigator Leadership Fellow and Co-Deputy Director with Musculoskeletal Health and Wise Health Care, the panellists included:
