Aruba Airport Achieves LEED Gold Certification

On June 26, 2025, Aruba Airport Authority N.V. hosted a small reception to mark a major milestone: the achievement of LEED Gold Certification for the Gateway 2030 Phase 1A Terminal Expansion.
With this certification, Queen Beatrix International Airport becomes the first airport terminal in the Caribbean and the first new building in Aruba to be recognized with LEED Gold — a globally respected standard in sustainable building.
The reception was attended by the Minister of Tourism, Transport and Labor, Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, members of the Board of Supervisory Directors, and Aruba Airport employees who contributed to this achievement.
This recognition underscores AAA’s commitment to sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and building a greener future for air travel in Aruba.
