This talk introduces two ideas, first that we should think about consistency while designing systems. I start with what I mean by consistency, why it is important to think about it. Then the second idea, here I introduce how defer simplifies building consistent systems. I think defer is one of the coolest concept introduced by the Go language. Using defer one could execute a sequence of steps and roll it back if necessary to keep the system always in consistent state.
