The goal with the Modified Wen Surfboard Planer was to build a low-cost planer, designed specifically for shaping surfboards. The stock Wen planer already featured a preferred handle angle that didn't require adjustment. Some of the basic modifications made: addition of a 20' cord, vacuum exhaust attachment, and rounded edges of front shoe. We teamed up with Pete Casica to redesign the new depth control. This is the most important modification which now allows the planer to go from closed to full depth (1/8") cut in just a quarter turn of the knob. 120V~ 6A
