Today I attended the Causeway Card Show at Big Night Live in Boston, the music venue inside TD Garden, home of the Celtics and Bruins. It's mostly a modern and TCG show but Matt from Providence was set up, and we did a deal where I acquired a 1934-36 Batter Up Joe Cronin in an SGC 3. Cronin was a Hall of Fame shortstop and manager with the Red Sox. I also bought a card from a viewer of the channel! This was of legendary American boxer Joe Louis from the 1938 Churchman's tobacco set. 1938 was the year Louis famously beat German boxer Max Schmeling in a rematch of the 1936 bout. Honored to add a card of Louis to the collection.
