High Pitched Federal Signal 2001-SRNB | Full Alert | Niles, OH | 11/2/24

For November's First Saturday test, I decided to do another siren in Niles, this time deciding to record the 2001-SRNB located at The Von Isley Estate near the Middle School. This siren was installed in either 2002 or 2003 with the other SRNB in town to add coverage, and was rather high pitched. For whatever reason, you can hear the two-tone coming through the radio in the control box before the siren winds up.

Due to the lack of suitable filming locations, I had to set up a little less than 100 feet away from the siren on the Estate's property. Thank you to a couple of the volunteers for letting me set up there. Being a bit higher pitched, this one was pretty loud. Enjoy!

Niles, along with most of Trumbull County, test their tornado sirens on the First Saturday of each month at 12 PM.
