Using a few simple but effective tools, I talk you through how I approached this squirrel drawing. I started out with graphite powder using a makeup applicator to lay the foundation and structure, and then using one 2B pencil, (Faber Castell 9000 series) I added in all the details and blended them in with a blending stump. I erased details and brought back highlights and carved in shapes with my Mono Tombow Eraser, an invaluable tool for all graphite artists. It saves time and provides interesting textures, marks and shapes, revealing the white paper underneath. The paper is Strathmore Bristol Smooth, Series 300.
