Krishnadhwani is music that evokes Lord Krishna and his divine flute. This album comprises a rendition by the greatest living flautist, Hariprasad Chaurasia, performing traditional ragas. He renders raga Haripriya, which he created, beginning with a leisurely alap and jod that display the structure and components of this richly crafted night melody. The jod moves towards a rhythmic pulsation and culminates in a gat in an unusal taal cycle of eleven beats called ektala ki sawari.
