The Hammerlock is a great technique to use to secure someone - it can be applied from a hundreds of scenarios! In this video we demo it static for understanding and a simple double grab scenario.
I've used this LOADS and is very effective as it is one of the few locks that really effect the attackers posture, taking out their height and making it useful to dominate even a bigger, stronger opponent.
This demo is done mainly static so that you can understand the movement. You can cover up from shots, close the gap and hammerlock too. This is one of MANY ways to get this technique executed. As I have said, I have used this many, many times and it is very effective when used and executed correctly.
