در بار محل بہاولپور کے عظیم تاریخی ورثوں میں سے ایک شاندار اور دلکش محل ہے، جسے سابق ریاستِ بہاولپور کے نواب نواب بہاول خان پنجم نے 1904ء کے قریب تعمیر کروایا۔ یہ محل اپنی خوبصورتی، باریک کاریگری اور شاہی طرزِ تعمیر کی وجہ سے ضلع بہاولپور کی پہچان بن چکا ہے۔
اس محل کی تعمیر میں مغل، راجستھانی اور سرائیکی فنِ تعمیر کے حسین امتزاج نے اسے ایک شاہکار بنا دیا ہے۔ سرخ پتھر، بلند محرابیں، خوبصورت گنبد، نفیس جھروکے اور نقش و نگار اس محل کو کسی بادشاہی کہانی کی یاد دلاتے ہیں۔
در بار محل کو نواب خاندان نے اپنی شاہی سرگرمیوں، مہمان نوازی، سرکاری مجالس اور خاص تقریبات کے لیے استعمال کیا۔ آرمی نے بھی بعد کے دور میں اس کا انتظام سنبھالا اور اس کی حفاظت و مرمت کو یقینی بنایا۔
یہ محل آج بھی اپنی شاہانہ شان، وسیع باغات اور قدیم طرزِ تعمیر کے ساتھ بہاولپور آنے والے سیاحوں کے لیے ایک بہترین تاریخی مقام ہے۔ اس کی خوبصورتی رات کے وقت روشنیوں میں مزید نکھر کر سامنے آتی ہے۔

Darbar Mahal is a magnificent palace built around 1904 by Nawab Bahawal Khan V, the ruler of the former princely state of Bahawalpur. This palace is a perfect blend of Mughal, Rajasthani, and local architectural styles, which makes it one of the most beautiful heritage sites in South Punjab.
As you walk closer, the first thing you notice is the striking red sandstone, the grand arched entrances, and the detailed carvings and balconies that reflect true royal craftsmanship. The elegant domes and spacious courtyards give the palace a majestic and timeless feel.
Darbar Mahal was used by the Nawab family for royal gatherings, official meetings, and special ceremonies. Later, the building came under the supervision of the Pakistan Army, who played an important role in preserving and restoring its original beauty.
Even today, Darbar Mahal stands proudly with its lush green lawns, traditional architecture, and royal charm. At night, when the palace lights up, it looks absolutely magical — like a scene from a Mughal-era story.
