Dr. William Hartley spent seven years searching for something that shouldn't exist—the first being to follow Lucifer into darkness. In November 2024, he found him waiting in an abandoned Albanian monastery. Three weeks later, William disappeared. This is the footage his wife released to the public.

In 2017, Cambridge professor William Hartley discovered a 2,000-year-old fragment describing "The First Witness"—an entity that existed in the moment before Lucifer's fall and chose to follow him out of pure curiosity. What began as academic research became an obsession that would cost William everything.

When William received an anonymous package containing the location of a medieval monastery in the Albanian Alps, he ignored his wife Eleanor's warnings and traveled there alone. What he found inside was a being named Gavril who claimed to have witnessed the fall of Lucifer and regretted his choice for thousands of years.

This documentary contains the actual footage of William's interviews with Gavril, his psychological deterioration, and his final days before vanishing into a solid stone wall. Experts have verified the footage is unmanipulated. The second voice on the recordings is real. And William Hartley has never been found.

The Monastery of Saint Grigor remains sealed by the Albanian government. People still go missing in that valley. And according to the last letter Eleanor received, William isn't coming back.

Some knowledge is too heavy to carry alone. Some choices can't be undone. And some mysteries exist not to be solved, but to warn us.
