The Parthenon 3D - Ancient Greece in UNREAL ENGINE 5 + BLENDER [4K]

This project, based on Dr. Juan de Lara’s PhD research, took four years to complete to ensure historical accuracy in recreating one of the most complex and iconic buildings of antiquity. Using 3ds Max, Blender, and Unreal Engine 5, LuxCoreRender and Premiere Pro, we have brought the Parthenon’s glory back to life!

🔹 So, was it dark inside? Indeed, it was. The Parthenon’s interior, which we call the cella, measured 30 by 20 meters, and grilles in the outer colonnades blocked much of the light that could come in. However, despite the limited natural light, the colossal 12-meter gold and ivory statue of Athena, sculpted by Phidias, had reflective qualities that make it stood out in contrast, making it seem as if the goddess emerged from the enshrouding darkness. Must have been magical!
