The Hurricanes won their second ACC game of the season with an 81-84 win over the Orange. Miami had one of their best shooting performances of the season, shooting 55.4% from the floor, including 50.0% from beyond the arc with 10 made three-pointers. Miami's Matthew Cleveland was incredibly efficient in a game where he scored a career-high 32 points. Cleveland went 10-13 on field goal attempts, including 2-4 on threes, and 10-12 on free throws. Freshman Jalil Bethea also had a career-high 21 points, the first 20-point game of his college career. Paul Djobet added 13 points. For Syracuse, Eddie Lampkin had his 10th double-double of the season with 22 points and 13 rebounds, plus he also had a team-high six assists. J.J. Starling scored 25 points with five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
