Hello everyone! This is Sar from Vintage and Modern Firearms! This video is a close-up showcasing of an Iraqi-Contract FN Browning Hi-Power.
The Hi-Power is one of the most widely used military handguns in the history of small arms. Around 50 to 60 countries around the world adopted this pistol. Yet, not all of them manufactured their own. Some of them were made under contract, like the one in the video that I am showcasing.
FN does not release the number of pistols that they have sold to any country's military. Thus I cannot tell how many of these were made. But at least I can tell from the serial number that this particular one in the video was made in 1982.
The most noticeable way to recognize an Iraqi-Contract Hi-Power is the eagle on top of the slide, which is the coat of arms of Iraq (Iraqi Crest; Iraqi Eagle) up to this day (2018). The eagle must have three stars on its body. If it has two starts, then it is an UAR-contract.
It is important to mention that this particular gun has not been modified or altered in any way. All parts are original and all matching.
