This time, I played NBA 2K26 on the PS4 Slim, and honestly? I came away pretty surprised.

First off, the graphics look amazing. Considering the PS4 Slim is now a 12-year-old console, I wasn’t expecting this level of detail — and yet the game looks sharp and clean. On top of that, it runs at a smooth 60 FPS, which really adds to the experience.

Now, I’ll be upfront: I don’t watch basketball and I’ve never really played a basketball game before. But from my time with it, I’d say the gameplay feels decent, fluid, and polished. The game also comes with plenty of content, including modes like MyCareer, MyLeague, and updated rosters that keep things fresh for returning fans.

Of course, someone who plays NBA 2K every year would probably be a better judge of its depth and mechanics. But from my casual perspective, it runs and looks great on the PS4 Slim.
